A drink at 7pm: Marcello Di Capua’s Vitovska by Marko Fon
Marcello Di Capua, class of ‘69, is a partner at Lawdis, the legal studio he founded in 1999 with his wife Raffaella Fortunato. He was President of the Executive Board of Fondazione AEM, where he curated several social and cultural projects, and he is currently chair of Arteprima, a cultural association involved in modern and contemporary art in Italy and Europe. After discovering Pisacco, he fell in love with a very particular wine: Vitovska by Marko Fon.
“A typical day for a lawyer like me starts early and finishes late. The main ingredients are: hours and hours of study and research, more hours spent running the studio and a third of the day dedicated to liaison and communication.
I discovered Pisacco and DRY as part of my ceaseless observation of the city. I am constantly seeking places that bring truth and emotion to the table and they were both more than up to the task.
It was at Pisacco that I first tried the Vitovska wine made by Marko Fon; it is a wine that directly expresses profound value without compromise. It is the complete expression of an original concept and it explains a lot about what wine represents for our culture.
I am always amused by the surprise on the faces of my sceptical friends when I suggest it: the initial expression is always perplexity, but then it evolves into the understanding that there is no going back from here.”
