We shared a table with Maurizio Galimberti who told us about his obsession for photography and fragmentation. Since 1983 Maurizio shoots with his inseparable Polaroid camera intimate framed portraits of celebrities and places, all around the world.
The Gourmand is a biannual food and culture magazine founded in 2011 by David Lane and Marina Tweed. Each issue features commissioned works by talented writers, photographers, illustrators and set designers. The idea is to publish work that can be timeless, both in its content and in its physical quality.
The 8th issue of the magazine has a very special cover story, The Princess and the Pea, shot by the one and only Harry Peccinotti, the famous English photographer best known for his amazing erotic shots and for the Pirelli Calendars of the late 60’s.
The whole issue is dedicated to the art of entertaining through clever and catchy content, such as chef Alice Waters and her daughter’s story about their most beloved everyday objects, writer Laura Bradbury’s ideal table setting and creative director Kyle Hugall’s ode to the despised prawn cocktail, a food and culture reportage by Ben Chapman, a psychedelic trip into the world of olive oil by duo Baker & Evans and much more.
